American-Palestinian Teenager Liberated After Nine Months in Israel's Imprisonment

An American-Palestinian adolescent having endured nine months in Israeli detention without charge was released.
Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old at the time of his arrest this past winter in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during a family visit on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.
United States authorities said it welcomed Mohammed's liberation.
Now sixteen years old, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.
Family described him as showing signs of malnutrition, while battling health issues contracted in captivity.
Through an official statement, Mohammed's uncle conveyed their "overwhelming sense of relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" over the last nine months.
"At this moment, we are focused on ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he requires following exposure to Israel's abuse and inhumane conditions for months."
American authorities announced ongoing to provide consular support for the Ibrahim family.
{"The Trump Administration considers paramount to the protection and welfare of American nationals"," it added.
Twenty-seven US lawmakers endorsed a document to US authorities and President Donald Trump, demanding more be done to secure his release.
The father, parent of four children operating an ice cream shop from Florida, had earlier stated his child admitted guilt about rock throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
He had not seen or communicated with his son since the arrest, learning information solely about his son's condition in detention through court documents.
He stayed absent formal charges in Ofer prison on the West Bank.
The facility also contains grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences including killings.
An estimated several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, per correctional service statistics.
Numerous remain uncharged while advocacy organizations, including UN bodies, document cases involving physical abuse and torture.
Following Mohammed's release, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating demanding accountability for their family member their cousin Sayfollah.
The 20-year-old dual US citizen according to health authorities was beaten to death by radical settlers amid clashes during summer.
During that period, the Israeli military said officials were investigating information regarding a civilian had been killed.
The two cousins collaborated at their family's ice cream business based in Florida.
No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.
"We expect US authorities to protect our families," family representatives emphasized.
