Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Road Accident

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his team members.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”

His release from the hospital comes as the global fight fans had expressed sympathy for the star in the following the devastating accident.
