Barça to Host Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
