Brassic Calls it a Day with Influenced by Tarantino Finale

The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their humorous show about a close-knit group of likable chancers running riot in a rural Lancashire town. One could anticipate the last episode to be a greatest hits victory lap of booze, drugs and cheeky thievery. But, the vibes are distinctly darker as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the crew barricade themselves in a pub with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment seemingly influenced by Quentin Tarantino.

Dragons’ Den

8pm, BBC One
Dancers from the ballet world enter the den this week, as single mothers Laura and Stacey present their line of inclusive dancewear – and cause Peter Jones to become flustered. Next, an ophthalmologist turned innovator has a clever gadget for misplaced tape edges.

All Creatures Great and Small

9pm, Channel 5
The animal-related escapades are generally good, but this superior period drama earns its corn with tender character work. An especially moving installment weaves the stories of a lame shire horse and a missing young cow into a more serious storyline focusing on the character Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a fraternal intervention.

The Hack

9pm on ITV1
The journey has been lengthy. Yet the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but ultimately compelling series about phone hacking sees David Tennant’s Nick uncovering information about the actions of the News of the World that the rest of the media simply can’t ignore. The situation improves for Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

9pm on BBC Three
Jazz hands at the ready: it’s time to present Peter Pansy – The Musical! That means the pressure is on for the drag performers to perform vocally, dance, and act and finally impress as they prepare for the production. And what better guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, together with Graham Norton, Michelle Visage and RuPaul.

The Series The Iris Affair

9pm, Sky Atlantic
Those with a phobia of creepy crawlies will want to skip ahead as episode six begins, before something of a Mexican (or rather Sardinian) standoff ensues, when Cameron forces Iris to swap her diary for the captured Joy – else she’ll be “shot repeatedly” from the threatening drone controlled by Meski … What escape plan can they devise?
