David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions directed at women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles in total, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
