Nearly Ninety Flights Linked to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Arrived at or Departed from UK Airfields
An investigation has found that approximately 90 aircraft journeys connected to Jeffrey Epstein reportedly touched down at and left UK airports, with some reportedly carrying women from the UK who claim they were exploited by the found guilty child sex offender.
Flight Logs Uncover Trail of Movement
These aviation records were among a trove of legal papers and files made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the last year. The analysis found 87 aircraft movements connected to Epstein – including many that were not previously known – arriving or departing from British airfields between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Flights
Unnamed women were documented among the passengers travelling into and out of the UK. Significantly, 15 of these UK flights occurred following Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a underage person.
“It was ‘astonishing’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his dealings in the country,” stated US lawyers acting for numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
Evidence from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epstein’s associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. But, that victim has never been contacted by UK authorities, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not received any additional information that would support reopening the inquiry.” They noted, “Should new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, including any arising from the release of documents in the US, we will review it.”
Ongoing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to disclose every document held by the American government in concerning Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to follow through. A vast number of files are anticipated to be released.
Additionally, a US judge decided last week that the department could make public evidence from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the charges.
