Netflix Casts Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and animated series.
This performer will work alongside multiple new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to reality, such as leader Mr. 0, portrayed by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the individual will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
