Spurs Boss Frank Calls Goalkeeper Booers 'Not True Genuine Fans'
Fulham Begin Powerfully to Defeat Spurs and Increase Tension on Frank
Tottenham Hotspur supporters who jeered keeper Vicario were told later "they cannot be real Tottenham fans" by boss Frank.
Spurs let in two scores in the first six minutes to fall 2-1 to their opponents, registering their tenth top-flight home loss of the year.
But the main topic of discussion was the visitors' next score when Vicario lost the ball well beyond his area.
The goalkeeper came out to deal with a long ball and carried the ball towards the sideline.
However, rather than booting it into touch, the Italian spun and attempted to clear away, but lost his footing as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was controlled by Josh King.
The forward passed the ball off to Wales midfield player Harry Wilson, who bent a strike into the net from the touchline recorded at thirty-six point six metres.
Seconds later when the ball went to Vicario again, a number of Spurs fans booed him.
Spurs were booed off at the interval, with the club 2-0 behind, and once more at full-time.
One of those booing sessions really angered the manager.
"I heard some of our supporters reportedly jeered the incident and booed after, which, in my opinion is completely unjustifiable," the Danish manager commented regarding the supporters' response to his goalkeeper.
"[They] can't be real Tottenham supporters that act that way. Fair enough booing after the match, fine, but when we are in play, we are backing one another, we are behind one another going forward."
Tete had handed Fulham a fourth-minute lead before Wilson's strike – with Kudus scoring for Spurs in an better second period performance.
Ex- Premier League keeper Joe Hart remarked that the next goal was "completely avoidable".
"I certainly appreciate the fans' frustration," the ex-keeper continued. "I am aware the role Vicario is playing. He's a great squad member, he's a real figure in the locker room but ultimately you are going to be assessed by your actions.
"He was deeply implicated in what ended up to be the winning score."

Thomas Frank Defended His Goalkeeper Vicario After the Game
Italy national team the keeper is in his 3rd campaign with Tottenham.
The 29-year-old stated following the match that he had to take the feedback.
"The second goal was a mistake of my own, I accept responsibility for it," he said.
"My aim was to clear the ball long and I simply struck the ball in a poor manner. That made an more difficult challenge to overcome."
He said receiving jeers "is part of football".
"I'm a big man, how can I respond?" he continued. "The team can't be influenced by the situation in the crowd. Supporters have the entitlement to do what they think.
"It's on the team to stay more calm, to focus on our own performance. The team is lacking in composure and calmness to overturn outcomes. Today is a bad defeat and it's hard to take."
'I Was Surprised No One Returned to the Line'
In spite of the keeper's mistake, it was not an simple goal for Wilson to score.
In fact it was the second most distant top division goal of the campaign – following Adams' forty-three point three metre strike for the Cherries against the Black Cats, which interestingly also came on the same day.
Wilson stated he was "somewhat taken aback" that he still had an open goal to aim for.
Ten moments elapsed between Vicario exiting of his box and Wilson shooting – which was 5 seconds following the kick.
"I felt like the keeper was away from the area for a long time," Wilson said.
"I was surprised none of the back four went back to the line. When not one of them defended the net, my interest lit up a bit.
"Udogie fell too, which gave me a little additional time. Then it was solely about attempting to achieve the right contact and place it towards goal. I had a positive feeling, the moment it came off my boot, that it was on the right line."

Jeering While We Are Still Playing Is Totally Unjustifiable - Frank
Although the keeper's error led coverage, this was an overall poor performance for Spurs to extend their home ground woes.
This was their 10th at home defeat of 2025 in the Premier League, a joint club record along with 1994 and 2003.
They still have home fixtures against the manager's old side Brentford and title holders Liverpool to come before the end of the season.
Only one of those wins have come after Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou in the summer.
"When you're behind 2-0 following six minutes, there is a huge challenge to climb," stated the boss.
"During in a poor run, everything appears to work against you too – the first was a deflected shot, the next is a mistake from the keeper.
"The outcome puts us in a place where we have suffered another game. Each fixture has a unique story, today we lost in the early stages.
"We just need to keep working. The second half was significantly improved and with luck something we can use to learn."
Spurs have been defeated in 4 straight at home London derbies for the initial time in the top division.
Furthermore they are recording nine point five shots and three point two shots on target per match in the Premier League – their lowest averages on file in a single campaign (dating back to 2003-04).
Ex- Fulham midfielder Murphy commented that the manager has to endure the criticism.
"He's got accept the stick," Murphy said. "He has accepted a high profile role at a major team with enormous expectation. There is pressure and responsibility that comes with that.
"Their showings at their stadium have been disappointing and they have to get better {quickly|
