Armed assailants have fatally shot an educator and seized a minimum of 25 learners in an assault against a girls' secondary school in the northwestern part of Nigeria, according to police.
The criminal group stormed the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in the Maga locality within Kebbi State at roughly 4 in the morning local time on the beginning of the work week, officials stated.
The armed individuals "confronted officers on duty in a shootout" before climbing over the boundary wall and taking the pupils captive from their living quarters, an official report indicated.
