That Gruesome Animated Film Conclusion That Stays With Audiences

Among every mature cartoon movies I’ve ever watched, no other has stuck with me as much as the dread-soaked finale of a graphically gory as well as highly provocative film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

Back in the year 2015, this Spain-based writer-director crafted a grim, bleak and often savage world with a few small , desolate hints of hope.

While Unicorn Wars seems like it stemmed from a desire to push the medium further, the director explained that it was rather a try to express a widespread, multicultural theme regarding “the shared root of every conflict.”

That idea is expressed by means of a squad of vividly colored bears , openly based on a famous series of lovable characters.

Being raised in a culture centered on aggression and the military-industrial complex, numerous the bears are fixated on slaughtering unicorns, due to a sacred text which states the bears they used to be rulers of the forest, before the unicorns forced them out.

A few haven’t fully accepted the propaganda, , choose to try out narcotics and fornicate in the forest.

In contrast to their gentle equivalents, these vivid animals show genitals and definite libidos.

For a particular particularly cruel, skeptical animal, the bear named Bluey, the battle against the unicorns transforms into a road to control — and especially to supremacy over his gentler, nicer brother Tubby.

The character behaves aggressively , an obvious psychopath , and as fear takes over his squad and takes his comrades sequentially, he seizes progressively power personally, via progressively gory, damaging approaches.

At the same time, the horned creatures are suffering their own nightmare, in the form of a growing, harmful creature in their woods.

“Initially, it seems like a lighthearted film,” the director commented. “But then it evolves into a more intense and melancholic movie. And ultimately, it becomes a horror film.”

The Unicorn Wars starts out similar to one of the more whimsical films from a renowned filmmaker, that uncover a mischievous joy in allowing cartoon characters curse, engage in violence, or sex each other up.

Then it evolves into closer to a darker work by that same artist, with increasingly visual gore and a tangible relation to genuine horror of war.

Ultimately, it is a complete theatrical horror massacre.

The horror that makes the film a Halloween-friendly viewing kicks in well before than one might expect.

Unicorn Wars is suited for the most dedicated lovers of violence, for enthusiasts of graphic films who want to watch a movie they haven’t ever watched previously, and can endure a plot that pulls no restraint.

Watch it in a dimly lit space without any distractions, and the conclusion will dig deep within you and take up residence there.
