The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a California Car Crash
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.
The celebrated video game developer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
